NST: Four more suspects in Batu Buruk rioting surrender

KUALA TERENGGANU: Four more suspects involved in the Sept 8 riots in Batu Buruk surrendered to the police yesterday.
The four men aged between 17 and 49. Two were from Kampung Kolam, one from Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin, and one from Kampung Pulau Rusa in Kuala Terengganu.
They are among 46 people wanted by police to assist investigations in connection with the incident.
State CID deputy head Superintendent Khairi Ahrasa said the first two men surrendered at the Kuala Terengganu police station at 9.30am, while the rest at 9.55am and 11.40am.
Khairi Ahrasa said the men will be investigated under Section 27(5) of the Police Act 1967 for attending illegal gathering and Section 440 of the Penal Code for the destruction of private property and the burning of Jalur Gemilang.
