KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 11 (Bernama) — The Election Commission (EC) will display nationwide from Saturday to next Friday the supplementary electoral roll for the last quarter of last year.

The EC said in a statement today that 159,123 people registered as new electors between October and December last year while 54,920 applied to change their address and polling district.
The supplementary electoral roll will be displayed at the 14 state election offices, 417 computerised post offices, 54 government complexes and offices, 157 district offices, 44 municipal and district councils, 155 community and rukun tetangga halls and penghulu offices, and 12 other places.
The statement said the names of electors to be removed from the electoral roll due to death or revocation of citizenship would also be displayed.
The names of retired soldiers and policemen would also be removed from the electoral roll as they no longer qualified to be postal voters, it said.
The EC asked the next-of-kin of electors who had died to hand in a copy of their death certificate and those who wanted to change any of their particulars to contact any state election office or the EC headquarters.
They can also send the amendment via e-mail at [email protected]. The EC can be reached at 03-8885 6500 (tel), 03-8888 9117 (fax) or http://www.spr.gov.my.
