PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia now has 11.2 million voters, the Election Commission said on Tuesday.
“The figure comprises 99,456 voters from the 2009 fourth quarter electoral roll added to the main 2008 electoral roll which has 11,163,409 voters,” the Commission said in a statement.
At the same time, the EC had also deleted 21,910 names from the record due to various reasons such as death.
The fourth quarter roll would be gazetted on Wednesday, the Commission said. — Bernama
