SIBU, July 11 (Bernama) — The RM10 million grant for 60 government-aided primary schools in Sibu and Kapit will be distributed soon, Environment and Public Health Minister Datuk Sri Wong Sook Koh said.
He said the fund had now grown by RM60,000 in interest.
Speaking at the board’s 20th anniversary celebration and presentation of long service awards here last night, Wong said the board deserved credit for their role and perseverance in the development of Chinese primary education in the state.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced the grant during the recent Sibu by-election following request for such assistance from the board. — BERNAMA
