Mark Bujang
He worked with BRIMAS as a a Research and Documentation Officer. In charge of the Geographical Information System (GIS) in BRIMAS and have conducted and train a few of our indigenous youths on community mapping techniques using Global Positioning System (GPS) and also GIS. Currently, is an Executive Director of BRIMAS. He testified in a few court cases as an expert witness on community mapping and some of the decisions in these cases has become landmark decisions.
Abun Sui
Advocate & Solicitor in HNL & Co. Advocates Miri, Sarawak. Coordinator of Sarawak Indigenous Lawyers Alliance (SILA). Kenyah Badeng Ethnic. From Belaga (Bakun Dam), Sarawak. Legal advisor to TAHABAS – Native Customary Land Owners Network of Sarawak. Secretary of PKR Hulu Rajang, Sarawak Branch.
Minggat
Minggat is a retired civil servant, and recent victim of a beating by employees of a logging company in Sungai Rusa, Sarikei Sarawak. He and his community were protesting against the logging encroachment on their native lands. Minggat and his son were ambushed and seriously injured during the altercation with the logging company employees.
Nicholas Mujah
Nicholas Mujah, an Iban, has been fighting for the rights of Sarawak indigenous peoples to their native customary land since around 1980. He is the Secretary-General of the Sarawak Dayak Iban Association (SADIA), and has been recently arrested twice in the past five months in relation to his work.
