The Hong Kong Occupy Central Movement: Malaysians in Solidarity

BERSIH 2.0 would like to invite you to a sit-down session with Hong Kong activist Lau Ka Mei to discuss the ongoing situation and how Malaysians can support the protestors.

 

Lau is a labour activist from Hong Kong who studied in Social Work and Sociology at the University of Hong Kong. She works at the HK Women Workers’ Association and the Chinese Working Women Network. Recently, she moved to Malaysia and is now based in Penang. She is now working as a freelance writer and her work can be found in Malaysiakini, Street Voice and some local press.

 

The talk will be facilitated by lawyer and BERSIH 2.0 Steering Committee member Farhana Halim.
