PRESS STATEMENT (9 NOVEMBER 2016): BERSIH 2.0 reiterates that 10-day notice has been sent for BERSIH 5

BERSIH 2.0 reasserts that we have sent in the 10-day notice for the BERSIH 5 rally in Kuala Lumpur in accordance with the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
The notices were delivered by hand on 28 October 2016, with more than 10 days to spare. A map on our route was also submitted to the relevant police stations. BERSIH 2.0 also attended a meeting with the police at IPD Dang Wangi on 3 November 2016, 11am, to provide further details on BERSIH 5.
BERSIH 2.0 will proceed with the planned BERSIH 5 peaceful assembly on 19 November. We will gather at Dataran Maybank (Jalan Bangsar) and Masjid Negara at 10am before proceeding to Dataran Merdeka. There will no change in venue as we will be in the vicinity of Dataran Merdeka.
We urge Malaysians to join us on the streets to demand for free and fair elections and institutional reforms for a better Malaysia.
