After experiencing bias, fraud and corruption in the previous general election, Malaysians all need to act to make sure we don’t face the same debilitating conditions or worse in the upcoming elections, which are expected to be even hotter.
On 16 May 2017, BERSIH 2.0 launched our MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT! campaign for electoral reforms to be implemented for GE14.
The memorandum highlights reforms that can all be implemented within 10 months, before the necessary dissolution of Parliament in June 2018.
We need to push the Election Commission and the federal government to take steps to restore the faith of the public in our most basic democratic right.
